| Our staff of registered sonographers (ARDMS, RVT, RDCS) have an extensive | |
| experience in ultrasound imaging and had to go through extensive testing to be registered in the American Registry of Diagnostics Medical Sonographers. |
| Ultrasound has been a routine practice in prenatal care throughout the U.S.; and | |
| according to recent articles no adverse effects have been demonstrated in a large amount of studies to either the mother or the baby. |
| A 3D/4D scan is simple computer reconstruction of a 2D scan using a special | |
| computer software. After the regular (2D) scan is done, several extra sweeps of the transducer will be used to generate the 3D/4D reconstruction on the computer. The image will be displayed on the monitor. This volume sonography enables us to view the ultrasound images in a different dimension. |
| All of our elective scans are performed according to standards that restricts the | |
| scanning time (~20 min) which is within the time frame that has been proven safe over the last 30 years. However, the FDA discourages the use of ultrasound for non- medical reasons. |
